History of Freewheel

We are now an independent bicycle dealer (IBD), established in 1989 originally as part of the national Freewheel chain set up by Madison, the UK's leading bicycle component distributor. Enjoying the benefits that an already established company like Madison brought with them we rapidly grew within Nottingham.

After a few years as part of a chain we became independent in the 1990's and have been ever since. Pride and knowledge being the major driving force behind Freewheel along with carefully selected products that we (as a team) feel have earned their place in the shop.

Freewheel first ventured into the online world in 1996 with this little gem Click Here things have moved on slightly but its always nice to remember where you came from.
